First, the mountains and the jungle of North Sumatra, then the wild Banyak archipelago and finaly the culturally rich elevated town of Bukit Tingi.
Fear the erupting Sinabung Vulcano, admire the wonderous view of Ngarai Sianok, the Jam Gadang monument, swim in the pristine coral waters of Sikandang and meet the rich Batak and Minang cultures
You will have time to appreciate each of these during this 13 day trip.
a 13 days, 12 nights tour – Starting from $3,100 for 2 people
- Day 1:
Medan: Stay overnight in Medan city, visit Maimoon Palace and Tjong A Fie Mansion.
- Day 2-3:
Bukit Lawang: This is a famous Oran-utan conservation. Trekking and rafting.
- Day 4-5:
Berastagi: We will visit Inundating Hill, Fruit Market, picking strawberries and oranges ourselves.
- Day 6:
We start the trip to Banyak Archipelago, and stay overnight in Singkil. We will pass Sipiso-piso waterfall and the famous Toba Lake.
- Day 7-8:
Banyak Archipelago by boat; trekking on Tuangku Island, Island Hopping, snorkeling, and visit Tembego Cave.
- Day 9:
Take boat back to Singkil, then a car to Bukittinggi (12 hours journey).
- Day 10:
Tour around Bukittinggi: the Jam Gadang monument ; Ngarai Sianok; Lubang Jepang (tunnel made by Japanese in World War II); Zoology museum, Museum Rumah Adat Baanjuang, and Fort de Kock, all located in Taman Margasatwa dan BuDaya Kinantan; Visit the Great Wall of Koto Gadang.
- Day 11:
Trip to Maninjau Lake, Puncak Lawang Maninjau, Si Linduang Bulan Palace, Upper and lower lakes.
- Day 12:
Stay overnight in Padang City: Lembah Anai Waterfall(on the way to Padang), Chinatown, and enjoy the sunset around Siti Nurbaya Bridge.
- Day 13:
After breakfast , we will go to Minangkabau Intl Airport.
Note: We will stay in 3-4 stars hotels in Medan, Berastagi, Toba, Bukittinggi and Padang. However hotels in Singkil, Pulau Banyak, and Bukit Lawang can be quite spartiat.
